Caroline Wozniacki is from a notable sporting family, since both her parents and brother are professional athletes. She began playing tennis at the age of seven, in a little club south of Copenhagen.
The Danish tennis player began her journey as an umpire for family and friends before rising to the top of the singles rankings. Her achievement has been greatly aided by the support of her parents and brother. On October 11, 2010, she became the world’s number-one singles player, the 20th in the Open Era, and the first from a Scandinavian country.
Furthermore, Caroline Wozniacki became the first Danish player to win a major singles title at the 2018 Australian Open. Before winning the Australian Open, she lost two major title finals at the US Open, to Kim Clijsters in 2009 and Serena Williams in 2014.

Caroline Wozniacki was born on July 11, 1990, to parents Anna and Piotr Wozniacki. Her mother, Anna, played for the Polish women’s national volleyball team, while her father, Piotr, aspired to be a professional footballer. The family relocated to Denmark after Piotr joined the Danish football team B1909.
Throughout Caroline’s tennis career, her father served as her primary coach, providing coaching at all levels. Growing up, the family enjoyed outdoor activities, with the children learning to swim and play football early on. Caroline’s older brother, Patrik Wozniacki, was born on July 24, 1986, and also played professional football in Denmark. Caroline also had the support of her mother and brother, who used their sporting skills to counsel her whenever possible.

From 2011 to 2014, the tennis player was in a romantic relationship with Northern Irish professional golfer Rory McIlroy. They announced their engagement in a tweet on January 1, 2014, but called it off on May 21, 2014. On February 14, 2017, Wozniacki revealed that she was dating former NBA basketball player David Lee.
They were engaged on November 2, 2017, and married on June 16, 2019. They welcomed their first child, a girl named Olivia Wozniacki Lee, on June 11, 2021. A year later, on October 24, 2022, they welcomed their second child, a boy named James Wozniacki Lee.
Return To The Court After Three Years
Caroline Wozniacki returned to tennis for the first time since 2020, defeating Kimberly Birrell 6-2, 6-2, in the first round of the Canadian Open in Montreal on August 8, 2023. After winning 30 singles titles, Wozniacki has announced her retirement after the 2020 Australian Open.
In June 2023, she revealed her plans to return. After winning the game, Wozniacki said,
“It feels wonderful. It was my first match in almost three years, and I was feeling rusty.”
