His other published works include First Things First (1994) and Quest: The Spiritual Path to Success (1997). He frequently collaborated with his son and fellow writer, Sean Covey. He received degrees in business administration from the University of Utah (BS) and Harvard University (MBA). A devout Mormon, he also received a Doctor of Religious Education degree from Brigham Young University.
