He competes in the light heavyweight and cruiserweight divisions of the WPMF and IFMA. He is also known for having won the gold medal at the International Federation of Muay Thai in 2007. He fought against Joe Schilling at the Lion Fight Promotions: Battle in the Desert 5 event in Las Vegas in February of 2012. He first started practicing Muay Thai at the age of 16. After having performed well at several amateur events, he won the North American Cruiserweight Championship and turned professional in 2009.
