Sami Vanska was born in Finland on September 26, 1976. Finnish bassist who played with Nightwish, a metal band with a symphonic flavor. He joined them first for their Wishmaster tour and played on their second LP, Oceanborn in 1998. Vanska’s artistic differences with musician, songwriter, and bandleader Tuomas Holopainen resulted in his ejection from the Nightwish band. He began his musical career as a member of the band Nattvindens Grat. He recorded several albums with the group in the mid-to-late 1990s.
