Patrick Ewing, born on August 5, 1962, was a Jamaican-American basketball coach and former professional player. Ewing began his basketball career at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. Over 15 seasons, he was an 11-time NBA All-Star, leading the Knicks to the NBA Finals in 1994. Patrick Ewing Jr. is the head coach and general manager of the Newfoundland Growlers of the CEBL. Randi spent her college years at the University of Louisville playing volleyball. Aside from that, very little was known about her. Likewise, nothing is known about Cordey. Finally, Alexis Ewing, the daughter of Patrick and former professional volleyball player Cheryl Weaver, chose volleyball to emulate her mother.
“When it comes to volleyball, I leave that to mom,” Patrick remarked of his daughter Alexis. “I don’t coach; I just try to be a good father.”
Alexis is a Bullis student who is ranked first in her class. She just committed to Penn State’s 2025 volleyball recruiting class.
